No future without a past
Danske Fragtmænd was founded more than 100 years ago, when carriers increasingly began specializing in transports between the market towns and established the first freight routes. Then, transport was carried out by horse-drawn carriage or train.
The co-operative thought
In recent times Danske Fragtmænd started to assert itself as a business unit with the three carriage associations in Sjælland, Fyn and Jylland. Our logo consists of three wheels representing the three parts of the country.
In 1990 the cooperative society Danske Fragtmænd a.m.b.a. was established, and the co-operative thought constituted the basis for business activities of Danske Fragtmænd.
In 2000 Danske Fragtmænd bought the main competitor DSB Stykgods and incorporated the company in our national network. This strengthened the system of Danske Fragtmænd further.
Danske Fragtmænd A/S
On 1 September 2007 we could add another chapter to the long history of Danske Fragtmænd. From this day Danske Fragtmænd A/S was a reality, and all competencies were collected in one effective organization. Danske Fragtmænd counts for 750 employees, but altogether, including the 82 owners. Danske Fragtmænd counts for about 3,300 employees.
